#178 - I Am Aging - Part 2
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, as my body wastes away and my mind deteriorates, I do ask for one request - may I share my wisdom with the younger generation? Father, I'm not talking about worldly wisdom, such as work hard, save money, and enjoy retirement. I'm talking about godly wisdom. Father, may I sit in my wheelchair and tell young people about how I lived to be my own god. May I tell them about how I doubted Your character. May I tell them about how I worshipped other gods. May I tell them about how I didn't love You with all my heart, soul, and mind. May I tell them about how I didn't love others. May I tell them about how I confessed these sins to You. May I tell them about how Jesus Christ paid the price for my rebellion and I am now forgiven. May I share with them the godly lessons I have learned through the years, the lessons I learned through adversity and suffering. Father, there can be no greater gift a senior citizen can give to the younger generation than for that senior to humbly share the lessons You have taught them. If the younger people will listen, it may save them from all kinds of unnecessary heartache. Father, please give me this opportunity and the words to touch lives. I also pray that You will have mercy on me as I age. Please be with me. Please comfort me. Please give me Your peace. Please give me the hope of renewed youth in eternity. Please meet my needs in my final years by loving and competent healthcare and social caregivers. Thank You for the long life You have given me. Amen.
