#366 - It is Christmas
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, it is Christmas. It is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He is Your Son, the Creator of the universe. He observed our fall. He saw how we were hopelessly lost in rebellion. Our corruption left us powerless to satisfy Your expectations. He had to do something or else humans would be destroyed Your wrath. Jesus Christ decided He would set aside His deity and take on human form. He would be placed into the womb of a woman. He would be born a baby, needing the care of His human parents. He would be subject to His human parents, the very people He had created Himself. When they would tell Him to go to bed, He would obey them. Through His Youth and His adult years, He would obey You in every situation He would face. He would never be His own god, even though He was equal with God. He would never doubt Your character even though He would experience severe temptation. He would never worship other gods, never wanting to alienate His Father in heaven. He would finally be that one human being who lived perfectly before You. Because He was perfect, He wouldn't have to pay for His own sin or rebellion. Therefore, He was worthy to pay the penalty for the rebellion of mankind. He knew He would die on a cross. He knew His Father would raise Him from the dead three days later. He knew He would return to heaven and be restored to His full authority and deity. Therefore, He did it. Father, we celebrate His birth on this day. It is the day God came to the rescue of mankind. Happy Birthday, Jesus Christ. Happy Birthday, my Savior. Thank You for Your love for us all. You deserve all the glory. Amen.
