#491 - I'm Intrusive in Others Lives
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I am the neighbor that looks through the window of the house next door. I am the diner at a restaurant who listens to the conversation in the booth nearby. I'm the friend who tells everyone how to run their lives. I am the party-goer who shows up without an invitation. I'm the unwanted passerby who shows a homeowner how to correctly rake their leaves. I'm the person who invites himself into an argument between two other people. Father, I am intrusive. I've got a god complex. I not only think I am my own god, I also think I'm everybody else's god as well. I have the authority to tell other people what to do. I alienate people left and right. I'm not wanted and, to tell the truth, I understand why. Father, forgive me for not putting You on the throne of my life. Help me to surrender to You. I will then understand how to give people grace. Father, help me not to judge others or to give myself authority in their lives. That's Your job description, not mine. Amen.
