#610 - We Are Expecting a Baby
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, we are expecting a baby. A baby. A precious adorable baby. Thank You. - You are knitting a human inside of our womb. - You are making the skeletal system, the brain and the nervous system, the respiratory system, the gastrointestinal system, the skin, the hair, the arms, the hands, the legs, the feet, the eyes, the ears, the mouth, and the nose. - You are making the baby a boy or a girl. - You are giving the baby a personality. - You are giving them gifts, skills they will one day use to serve You. - You have good works planned for them already. - You want to have a personal relationship with them. You want to be their God, loving them, protecting them, and caring for them all their lives. - You can see them in the womb. You also can see them at the ages of ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, and ninety. You can see their entire life at once. Father, they are human. They will rebel from You the moment they are old enough to make moral decisions. They will choose to do things their own way just like we all do. They will doubt the God who made them. They will forget their Creator and worship other things. Father, I ask that You call this baby to salvation. Lead them to confess their rebellion and repent from it. Lead them to surrender their life to You. May they walk with their God, day after day, serving You to Your honor and Your pleasure. Father, there are so many things that can go wrong in this pregnancy. Please be merciful to us. Please deliver to us a healthy baby. Deliver to him or her God-fearing parents who will give them love and wisdom all their remaining days. Thank You. Amen.
