#599 - Pregnancy Outside of Marriage - Part 3
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I cannot imagine anything more tragic than what has happened in our family. My husband, who is a father to our children, had an affair outside of our marriage and now has fathered his lover's child. My children need their unfaithful father to be devoted to them. How can I walk away from the marriage because of his unfaithfulness when my kids need him? However, he cannot walk away from the new baby either. He cannot abandon that child any more than he should abandon my children. Father, I see only three ways to resolve this horror. The child is innocent and the child deserves a committed father. - His lover and her husband (assuming he exists) adopt the "love child" and her husband becomes a dedicated father - My husband and I reconcile and we adopt the child - A godly family comes along who will adopt this baby. I need the wisdom of Solomon here. I need miraculous grace. This is the time for supernatural forgiveness and understanding that can only come from You. What on earth do I do? How on earth can our relationship be restored? How on earth can our family be healed? Father, I can only do what I can do and that is to ask for forgiveness from my own rebellion. I surrender to You. I give You this nightmare, this hell on earth. Father, do a miracle. Raise from the dead the trust in my marriage. Help my husband do what is the godly and right thing to do for all the children involved. Bring someone into this child's life who will be a godly father. Give this innocent child a godly home. Father, if I am to become the step-mother to my husband's love child, I need You every minute of every day for the rest of my life. Amen.
