#731 - Executive Director of a Charity
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor
Dear Father, I am the executive director of a charity. You told us that all of scripture can be summed up by two commands - love You with all our heart, soul, and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves. Your Word tell us about Your desire for us to care for the poor and needy. You call us to be merciful and generous. You describe yourself as the God of compassion. Therefore, it is a privilege to lead a team of compassionate people. Thank You. Father, I need Your help. - Help me as I interact with the board of directors. I need their guidance, support, resources, and connections. I ask that they approve of my leadership. - I ask that You help me manage an effective and efficient organization that delivers life changing services. I need to oversee marketing, fundraising, program development, the staff, and the finances. It's a big task but by Your strength I can do it. Please give me wisdom, discernment, insight, and management effectiveness. - I ask that You inspire me as I establish the goals of the organization. I pray that You will bless us with progress and momentum. - I ask that You help me manage relations with corporations who donate funds to our cause. - Father, I am the spokesperson for this organization. I need to continuously attend functions and meet people, always communicating our vision and our accomplishments. I ask that You give me stamina as I adhere to such a busy schedule. - I pray that more volunteers, donors, and clients will come to us because of what I share in my presentations. - Father, this charity needs to be above reproach, with a spotless reputation for integrity. I can only foster that reputation if I surrender my life to you, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform my heart. Father, make me the most effective executive director I can be and please touch lives through our charity. Amen.
