Dear Father, I hurt people. I need to stop. Getting counseling is an act of love for others. I hurt myself. I need to stop. Getting counseling is an act of love for myself. A counseling session is not just about receiving the wisdom that spews from a godly counselor's lips. A counseling session is about the counselor loving me, in Christ, no matter what filth or slime I share about myself. It's that kind of love that is transformational. Father, make love victorious in my counseling sessions. May Your love for me flow from my counselor into my heart and mind. May the counseling experience empower me to love myself as You love me and to love others as You love them. Amen.
