#217 - Inventing Something
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I want to invent something. I want to create something that no one else has thought of. I want to do something that no one else has done before. I want to solve a problem that no one else has solved before. I can't explain it. Is it pride? Is it that I want to be my own god? Is it a gift for innovation and invention that You have given me? I have had this longing throughout my life. I love working with innovative ideas like artists like to work with clay. Father, I've come up with many ideas in my day, few of which were of any use. However, I want to come up with the idea of my career. Just one good idea. Something practical. Something that makes a difference in people's lives. Something useful. Father, please help me to invent something that satisfies this desire and serves and honors You. May this invention flow out of my surrender of my life to You. Forgive me of my rebellion in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help me to trust in You alone for all that I need. You are God and I am not. My relationship with You must be right before I'll ever discover anything amazing. Father, use my desire to invent for Your glory. Amen.
