#297 - What Do I Do After High School?
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God
Dear Father, I will soon be graduating from high school? What should I do with my life? I'm not excited about going to college. I'm not interested in any major or professional career. I don't want to go to school just for the sake of going to school. I want to have purpose. Father, I could learn a trade. However, I'm not sure that interests me either. I've thought about joining the military. I could travel. I would be paid. I would learn job skills that employers will need. I could develop very close friendships. It's an honorable career choice. However, I'm not sure I'm ready to die on the battlefield. What should I do with my life? Should I just get a temporary job and live at home, waiting till You tell me what to do? Father, I know You have a purpose in every life. You create us so that we can have a relationship with You. You create us so that we can honor You. You create us because You have work for us to do - good works You have planned. You gave me skills and talents and a personality when You knitted me in my mother's womb. You have a purpose for my life. I need to know what that is. Tell me. Father, I know one thing for sure. You want me to surrender my life to You. You want me to stop living like I am my own god. Forgive me for my rebellion. May Your Holy Spirit transform my heart and mind, not only giving me good character, but also giving me a very clear mission and purpose in life. Amen.
