#329 - Serving Difficult Customers
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, Your Son, my Lord Jesus Christ, washed the feet of His disciples. He was a servant. He put others before Himself. He suffered extreme emotional and physical abuse before He was crucified on a cross. He did this for others. He didn't deserve that treatment. Who in the history of the earth has deserved to be treated like a king more than Him? However, He became the servant of us all. With that in mind, I need to serve my customers. How does the example of Jesus Christ teach me? I am to deliver to them something far more important than products and services. I am to deliver to them the fruits of the Holy Spirit. I am to show them love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, faith, kindness, patience, and perseverance. I am to show them compassion, mercy, generosity, and grace. I am to keep silent, taking the abuse, while my customers yell, scream, punch, insult, mock, and falsely accuse me. Father, the business You have put me in is a mission field for me. It is a gymnasium, a place where I work out my capacity to love difficult people. The more difficult the customers are, the stronger my character can become as I serve them with excellence. Father, I do ask for Your help as I seek to deliver outstanding products and services to difficult people. I ask that You help me resolve conflicts with customers. I ask that You help me turn today's angry customer into tomorrow's loyal customer who will recommend our business to others. However, most importantly, help me display to my most difficult customers what the character of Jesus Christ looks like. I confess and repent of my rebellion from You in His name. I surrender my life to You. I ask that the Holy Spirit make me a customer service champion. Thank You for this opportunity for my character to grow. Amen.
