#484 - Someone Has Confronted Me
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I was a professed believer in Jesus Christ who was acting like an idiot. I was making a fool of myself. I was acting immaturely. I was dishonoring Your name. I was not acting any differently than those who do not know You. I was behaving rebelliously. I was hurting others. I was spiritually blind. I thank You that a godly person spoke truth into my life. They did so lovingly but also sternly. They called me to repentance. They called me to surrender my life to You. Father, their confrontation was an act of love from You to me. You could have allowed me to continue in my rebellion, damaging my life and the lives of others. You could have disciplined me severely. Instead, You sent someone to confront me, to wake me up before it was too late. Thank You. I am awake. I confess I have lived to be my own god. I confess I doubted Your character. I confess I worshipped other things. Father, I am a rebel. Forgive me. I ask that what Jesus Christ did on the cross paid the penalty for my rebellion from You. I now surrender my life to You. Fill me with the fruits of the Holy Spirit. May I stop acting like an idiot from this point further. Amen.
