#589 - It's My Perfect Wedding Day
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor
Dear Father, this is the day I've been dreaming about since I was a little girl. It's my wedding day. Father, I want this day to be perfect and I realize I cannot make that happen on my own. I am not God. Father, I am asking You to be merciful, gracious, and generous to me and grant me the following requests. - May the weather not put a damper on the wedding. - May there be no sudden illness for anyone who participates in or who attends the wedding. - May the modern technology we are relying on work effectively. - May the people who have been asked to deliver products and services do an excellent job and may they feel appreciated. - May the food be delicious and I ask that You bless and nourish all who partake of it. - May the two of us, my soon-to-be-spouse and I, be peaceful and relaxed. - May we be cheerful, thankful, and loving to our guests. - May those attendees who are not fond of each other get along today. - May all who are coming to the wedding have roundtrip traveling mercies. - May it be a beautiful day for our loved ones who want it to be a beautiful day. - May our guests have an enjoyable time. - May those who are single and lonely feel a deep sense of Your love today. - May those who are deeply hurting because of troubles in their life have a day off from their suffering. - May those who attend be extraordinarily thoughtful to one another. - May the ceremony, the message, and the way we conduct ourselves at this wedding truly honor You. Father, may this be a day my husband and I will look back upon with joy and fondness the rest of our lives. Amen.
