#213 - Writing and Publishing a Book
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I am writing a book with the expectation that it will be published. The book I am writing needs to honor You. It needs to teach the reader how to surrender their lives to Christ. Therefore, before I begin to write the first sentence, I must confess my rebellion from You. I must ask for forgiveness in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I must ask You to send the Holy Spirit into my mind to transform me. I must walk in obedience to You, giving the Holy Spirit every opportunity to change me. Father, I must become a godly man or woman before I write a word of this book. It is a serious thing to publish a book. There are people who read books with the assumption that the author is writing truth. If I wrote this book of my own insight and understanding, I could misinform and mislead readers away from Your truth. I will be held accountable to You for that. Father, I am asking for inspiration. Make me merely the hands that type the words You give me to say.Father, there are signs that You have inspired an author to write a book. 1. You have transformed their hearts and minds and it is the lessons You have taught them that they are eager to write about. 2. You give them compassion for the reader in crisis and a passion for godly change in society. 3. The message of the book stands the scrutiny of Your Word. 4. Words of wisdom flood into the keyboard like a river. There is no "writer's block". The writer doesn't wrestle with what to say or how to say it. It's almost like the writer isn't even thinking. He or she is just dictating what they hear. The words flow from the beginning of the book to the end. 5. The author perseveres and completes the book. Books that You inspire get finished and get submitted for publishing. Father, I dedicate this book to You. Please inspire me and touch the lives of the readers. Amen.
