#245 - I Am Intimidated - Part 3
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I am intimidated by ___________ (insert name of person). They scare me. I read their body language and facial expressions and listen to the tone of their voice. I feel them judging me. They have criticized me before, both to my face and behind my back. To make the matter worse, they are esteemed and admired by others. They are successful in life, having accumulated wealth, power, and the respect and admiration of others. Father, I confess to You that my spirit is rebelling from You once more. I'm worshipping people - the esteem and admiration of others. I want what this person has and I feel intimidated that I am not their equal. Father, please forgive me for my rebellious heart. Please give me a heart of love for this person. They have weaknesses, struggles, and insecurities that they wrestle with that I may know nothing about. In fact, their "reputation for success" may be a wall they use to hide their own insecurities from others. They may come across intimidating to me because they are scared I may see their inner struggles. Father, teach me to love them. Help me to set an example for all who hide behind walls and false faces. Help me to show them that a person can be themselves, transparently showing their strengths and weaknesses, because they don't care what other people think about them. Father, let me focus on my love for You and Your love for me. May that focus cause me to have confidence and courage interacting with even the most intimidating people out there. Amen.
