#288 - The Internet
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, thank You for the Internet. The knowledge of humanity is accessible within seconds, limited only by my capacity to imagine what to search for. There was a time when people like I did not have access to even one simple book. Now, every individual, with access to the Internet, is a curator of the library of the ages. It is a blessing. Thank You for it. However, Father, the Internet can also be a curse. It gives us access to all those things that are not good for us. It enables us to entertain information that is unhealthy, destructive, and dysfunctional. It enables us to waste time, to escape into fantasy, neglecting our responsibilities. It makes it easy for us to display the worst of human character traits. Father, may You watch over my time on the Internet this day. May what I search for and may what I find be only that which helps me become more like Jesus Christ. May my Internet time today be limited to the advancement of Your goals for my life. With that end in mind, make the Internet my servant today, bringing to me exactly what I need for the work You have called me to do. Amen.
