#320 - Buying Someone a Gift
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God
Dear Father, I am buying someone a gift. I'm buying them a gift either because I have to or because I want to. In our culture, there are times when we are expected to buy people gifts. Birthdays. Christmas. New homes. Graduation. Anniversaries. Bridal showers. Baby showers. Weddings. Secret Santas. These are the have to gifts. Our hearts aren't totally into these gifts because there is an element of compulsion and requirement. Father, I want to give a gift because I want the person to enjoy it. I want it to be something that lifts their spirit. I want it to be very useful to them. I want it to be something that helps them feel more loved and appreciated. I want it to be something that makes them feel good about themselves. I want it to be something that makes them look good in other people's eyes. Father, I deeply care for this person and I want them to feel special and loved. Please direct me to just the right gift. Please reach into their mind, find exactly what will thrill their heart, and then tell me what it is and where I can buy it. I want this gift to be something I want to give. Amen.
