#395 - Bless My Hobbies
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I work hard all day. I give one hundred percent to my employer and to my customers. I put people first throughout the day. I take their questions. I do favors for them. I do the good works You have prepared for me to do. I go the extra mile for the people You have brought into my life. However, I need some time to myself at the end of the day. I need to change gears. I need to release, in a healthy way, the pressure of serving needy and irritable people all day. I need to use the opposite side of my brain. I need to express myself in ways I can't at my day job. I need hobbies. Reading. Music. Models. Gardening. Sports. Knitting. Painting. Ceramics. Woodworking. Father, please bless my hobbies. They are a way for me to unwind from the stress of the day without destroying furniture and yelling at my spouse and kids. However, help me to enjoy my hobbies with moderation. May I never prioritize them over my relationship with You or the needs of my family. Amen
