Dear Father, I love to throw a party. Let's celebrate something. Let's celebrate a graduation. Let's celebrate a birth. Let's celebrate a wedding. Let's celebrate the sports championship in the city. These things are fine to celebrate. However, we should also be celebrating the things Your heart is excited about. Someone placed their faith in Christ. Someone overcame drug addiction. Someone started a new ministry. A church resolved a conflict in the congregation. The church grew in a foreign country. Father, help me to celebrate the things that are most dear to Your heart. Show me what I should be excited about today. Amen.
