#523 - I've Lost Touch with a Dear Friend
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I've lost touch with a dear friend. We were close for a very long time. Each day we said good morning and goodnight. We checked in with each other several times a day. We shared with each other the details of our daily lives. We shared our emotions. We shared our perspectives on topics such as faith, politics, and sports. We talked on the phone frequently. We got together as often as we could. My friend is no longer a part of my life. I've lost touch with them. Father, You bring people into our lives for reasons and seasons. You use them to teach us something about ourselves. You use them to help us grow emotionally or spiritually. You use them to give us new direction in our lives. You also use me to make a difference in their lives. Once Your purposes had been achieved, You move us on to new friends in our next season of life. Communication may end but a devoted and faithful friendship can continue indefinitely past the goodbye. Father, we are always one person away from each other. I pray to You. They pray to You. I can pray for them, confident that You know what's going on in their life. They can pray for me, confident that You know what's going on in my life. When we were in touch with each other, it was the three of us. It still is the three of us but in a different configuration. Father, faith in You is awesome. Our lives are enriched. Friends remain friends forever, even when they have said goodbye. Please bless my friend tonight, wherever they are and whatever they are doing. Give them reasons to thank You for what You are doing in their lives. Deliver them from the adversities that they face. Provide to them everything You have determined they need. Protect them from evil. Help them heal emotionally, spiritually, and physically. May they be so blessed that they are eager to speak to others about Your compassion, mercy, generosity, and love. Show them what it is like to personally experience miracles. May they enjoy deep loving and fulfilling relationships. I look forward to reconnecting with them in Your Kingdom. I am still their loving friend. Amen.
