#582 - I Want to Reconcile with My Spouse
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, my heart was in a different place when our marriage fell apart. I was not walking with You. I was emotionally or spiritually immature. I was caught up in issues from my childhood. A traumatic experienced had left me unable to have a healthy relationship. However, You have transformed me. I discovered I am a rebel from You. I discovered I have lived to be my own god. I discovered I have doubted You. I have discovered I have worshipped other things more than You. These things blocked the working of the Holy Spirit in my life. I was not loving, joyful, peaceful, kind, generous, merciful, compassionate, self-controlled, or persevering. I contributed to the breakup of my marriage. Now, after confessing my rebellion from You and asking for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit has been busy at work rebuilding my character. I am a new person. I long to restore my relationship with my former spouse. Father, I believe You can do all things. You can perform miracles. I pray my former spouse will see an amazing transformation in me and it is attractive to them. May they see me in a whole new light and may it cause a longing to reconcile with me. Father, turn us into an amazing story of restoration that inspires other couples. However, my former spouse has free will. He or she may not choose to get back with me. They may rather be alone or they may have someone else. Father, make me strong in You anyway. The right man or woman may still come along and they will love the way You are number one in my life. Amen.
