#615 - Our Child Now Has a Full-time Job
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, our child has their first full-time job. It may be a low-skilled entry level job. It may be a job that required their college degree. It may be a job in the trades. Whatever the job may be, I'm thankful for it. It's an opportunity for them to learn responsibility. It's an opportunity for them to learn how to deal with various kinds of personalities. It's an opportunity to learn how to deal with job-related adversity. It's an opportunity to learn how to persevere when the job itself, their supervisor, their customers, or their co-workers are intolerable. It's an opportunity to earn money, manage a budget, and take financial responsibility. Father, Your Word tells us that when we are faithful in the little things You will bless us with greater things. You are looking for opportunities to reward and bless faithfulness. You are looking for examples of people working to honor You at their place of employment. Father, help my child do their absolute best in the job that You have led them to. Father, may their work be so impressive that their employers will be actively seeking to increase their responsibility. Father, if their current employer is not going to recognize or reward their faithfulness, I ask that You quickly give my child a job with an employer who will. Father, my child will not be able to perform their best if they are in rebellion from You. I ask that You lead them to confess their rebellion and to repent, surrendering their life to You. You will give them the character traits and the wisdom they need to be noticed for their excellence on the job. I thank You that You offer Your assistance in every aspect of our lives. Amen.
