#73 - It's Easier to Be My Own God
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, it is easier to be my own god. Give me over to my rebellion. Let me go. When You do, You will not discipline me with adversity. You will let me enjoy my life of pleasure. The evil one will have no need to worry about tempting me. I'll already be a rebel from You. Life will be good. However, I know there will be an accounting for my rebellion. I won't get away forever. I will die. Life will not be easy then, not after You charge me with the crime of sedition and I have no one to defend me. Father, it is said "You can pay me now or pay me later. It will be cost you more later." Better a life of adversity and persecution on earth, after I surrender my life to You, and Your Son, Jesus Christ, than to pay the price for my rebellion for eternity. Father, I'm prepared for a difficult life now because I don't want to live through hell for eternity. Amen.
