#481 - I Am Intimidated by a Person - Part 1
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor
Dear Father, another person is superior to me in every way. They are more talented, skilled, attractive, sophisticated, admired, powerful, and influential than I am. They are wealthier. I'm not their equal. I can't compete with them. I am intimidated by them. I take actions to avoid them. Father, the truth is I am competing with them in life. I see myself as my own little god and I look at them as their own little god. However, they are a better god than I am. They have made all the right moves. I feel inferior to them - a lesser god. Father, the truth is that You are the one who gives people blessings for Your purposes. To whom much is given, much is required. The person who intimidates me because they have everything I want in life is a person who has a calling and You have prepared them for that task. They have great responsibility. They need my prayer. They need my encouragement. They need me to roll up my sleeves and help them get things done. They need a friend when they feel alone (others might avoid them because they also feel intimidated). The truth is that the person who intimidates me needs me because of the burden of the great calling upon their life. I am to ask them where they need prayer or a helping hand. That act of humble love will certainly make me their equal. Amen.
