#143 - I Was Laid Off
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I was laid off from my job. The company is going through a difficult financial period and they needed to cut costs. It is a slow season in sales and customer orders have been significantly reduced. They cannot commit to a date when I can return to work. I have a decision to make - do I find another full-time job? Or, do I find temporary jobs? You are God. You know what is going on here. You know the future of my employer and whether they will invite me to return to work and when they will do so. You know whether I will be laid off again and how soon. Father, I need to put my job situation into Your hands. What move is best for me? What should I do? I am asking for You to answer this question by giving me critical information I do not have this hour. I ask You to answer this question by opening doors to a more stable and rewarding long-term employment. In the meantime, I'm asking You to provide me with short-term work. Father, adversity is good for those who have put their trust in You. I ask for forgiveness from my sins. I surrender my life to You. May I become more like Jesus Christ because of my experience with this layoff. Amen.
