#198 - What Will Be My Legacy?
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, what will be my legacy? Will my legacy be my name, the year of my birth, and the year of my death on a tombstone? What will I pass on to my children? An estate or good character? Will my absence from the lives of friends and family go unnoticed ("oh, that's right. He died. How long has he been dead now?")? Or, will people feel my absence from their lives in a profound way because I had been such a blessing to them? Will my life story be inspirational to the next generation? Will there be people who are now in Your Kingdom because I had shared and exemplified the love of Christ with them? Father, my legacy will be in great shape if people know the following things about me: 1. I confessed my rebellion to You and repented from it, trusting that Jesus Christ paid the price for it. 2. I surrendered my life to You, living as Your faithful and obedient servant. 3. I believed that You are the wonderful God that You are. 4. I discarded all the false gods in my life. 5. I loved You with all my heart, soul, and mind. 6. I loved my neighbors in crisis, demonstrating for all who noticed that I am compassionate, generous, merciful, and gracious, a reflection of Jesus Christ. Father, with a legacy like that, I will be remembered and for all the right reasons. Father, give me this kind of legacy. Amen.
