#227 - Bucket List
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I have a "bucket list". It is a list of the things I want to experience before I die. I want to travel to certain destinations. I want to record a CD. I want to speak to an audience. I want to open a retail store. I want to climb a mountain. I want to take a cruise. Father, these things are good in that they are better than staring at the four walls of my home the rest of my life. If I am out of the house I'm putting myself in a position where I can meet and serve others. However, these things also require funds. Airplane and cruise ship tickets. Sound engineering equipment. Inventory purchase. Expedition supplies. Father, there is an entirely different kind of bucket list I can create. I could volunteer in as many kinds of charities in my region as possible. Homeless shelters. Orphanages. Nursing homes. Hospitals. Facilities for the blind. Tutoring. Rebuilding houses. Food banks. Clothing banks. Father, do I have what it takes to serve so many different people in so many ways? What will that do to me? How will it change my heart and my mind? Father, put me into as many places as You can before I die where my serving others makes me grow spiritually and emotionally. Help me to bring the love of Christ to as many people as I can, in as many ways as I can, before I "kick the bucket". Amen.
