#78 - I Want Closure About My Past
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, the moment I land on the shores of heaven I will forget my past on earth. I will see You and all Your glory face-to-face. I will be with my Savior, Jesus Christ. I will be in a place of pure beauty. I will no longer have any pain or sorrow. I will be the man or woman You intended me to be. I will be complete. I will be fulfilled. I will not give a thought to what has gone on in the past. Father, I don't have to wait until heaven to begin a wonderful transformation. You offer to build my character in this lifetime. You offer to build my character on earth in preparation for how I will serve You in heaven. However, looking back at my past adds a burden. The hurts and regrets of my past can slow me down or crush me like a 500-pound weight. Father, I want to grow. I want to change. I want to transform. Step one is for me to let go of the past and to look forward to the work You are going to do in my life. I've got to believe You will build a new me and I've got to cooperate with Your training program. If You guide me to go in a direction, I can't say "I'm not ready. I've got baggage to pack!" Father, help me let go of my past. Help me move on into the future. Amen.
