#80 - I Was Born Who I Am
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God

Dear Father, I am to honor Jesus Christ if I am a man or a woman. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I am rich or I am poor. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I am black or I am white. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I am Hispanic or Chinese. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I live in the inner city or in the suburbs. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I am the oldest child or the youngest child. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I am tall or short, skinny or heavy. I am to honor Jesus Christ if my family was wonderful or if my family was dysfunctional. I am to honor Jesus Christ if I run a marathon or if I am paralyzed. Father, each of us has a unique set of traits and experiences so that each of us has a special story of Your love to share with others. A woman with a birth defect and an alcoholic father has a story to share of Your love for her. A man, orphaned at birth, has a story to share of Your love for him in his situation. Father, the uniqueness of each of our lives is purposely designed by You. You want each of us to have a story of Your love for us that no one else has. It's our own special gift from You. Father, help me to embrace who I am, who I was born to be. I am who I am because I have a story, like none other, to share about Your love. Help me tell the unique story of how You have worked in my life. May my story encourage others that You can and want to work in their unique lives as well. Amen.
