Prayers
#53 - Not Giving God the Credit
Volume 1 - Prayers to Love God
Dear Father, I read the other day how someone was arguing against Your existence, giving credit to surgeons and nurses for saving someone's life. The individual spoke of the foolishness of giving You credit when it was the medical team who saved the person. Father, like a child believing in Santa, this person was delusional. Where did the hands, eyes, and brains of the medical team come from? Where did the wind, water, coal, or atoms come from that were used to generate electricity? Where did the raw materials come from that were used to create the medical equipment? After the surgery, the doctors said, "let's see what happens in the next 24 hours". In other words, they are conceding the unknown and the uncontrollable. They can only do so much. Either the patient will heal or the patient will take a turn for the worse. It is the God factor. Father, You do good deeds in every person's life. However, we strain our neck to find someone else to credit. We don't want to acknowledge You. Father, forgive me. Thank You for all the wonderful things You do for me every day.
